Nara park is home to hundreds of freely roaming deer and a symbol of the city. they have even been designated as a natural treasure. in shinto there are considered to be messengers of the gods. these sweet things are surprisingly tame, although they can be aggressive if they think you will feed them. Deer crackers are for sale around the park, and some deer have learned to bow to ask for food. i visit nara everytime i travel to japan but roaming the park in a kimono is really something else. i cannot wait to visit nara with m soon.
